Ministry:
While ministering in Angola, in 2005 we were asked come down to Namibia and do a "Children and the Holy Spirit" workshop. During my drive down (about 30 hours drive), the Lord began to speak to me about moving to Namibia and being a part of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit (that is now happening).
In 2007 we moved to Namibia and started traveling around the country, meeting pastors, listening, learning, and strategizing. This is where we're at now:
1) We're doing Children's outreaches and crusades to assist in church planting
2) We're Training Churches to:
a. Have a Full Gospel Children's Ministry Vision (not just ministry to children, but children being equipped to
minister!)
b. Put on exciting, meaningful, impacting School Assemblies
c. Lead Children in Praise and Worship
d. Do Storytelling
e. Use Puppets
f. Make use of Object Lessons and other creative visual techniques
g. Plan, direct, and do Children's Camps
h. Do Thematic Children's Church and Sunday School Programming
3) We're actually doing all these things that we're training people in, so as to lead by example
4) We've got a children's choir that we're doing right now that started with about 12 kids and now runs between 50 and 60.
God is doing a work in the choir and we are now spending most of our time in praise and worship and prayer
5) We are equipping children for ministry. Trying to provide materials for the kids in children's church and choir to form their
own school clubs and neighborhood clubs and to do the work of the ministry. These "Gospel Clubs" are led by kids: Opening with
prayer, then having praise, Bible Story, Object lesson, Today application/testimony, worship, closing with prayer, optional game.
6) We believe in cross pollination, so even though we primarily work with the Assemblies of God, we recognize that if we want the
continued oupouring of the Holy Spirit in our ministry that we must open our hearts and our ministry to other churches as well. So, the
workshops we do are open to other churches and organizations and are well attended by them. Our children's choir is comprised of
children who go to all sorts of churches, and some who even come from a completely nonchurched background.
